Gulf Coast Montessori Teacher Education Center is conveniently located in Clear Lake, a suburb of Houston that over the years has become famous because of NASA and the space program.

Airports and Transportation

​

There are two major airports that serve greater Houston. The first one is Bush Intercontinental (IAW) and the second one is Hobby Airport (HOU). Our center is located just 15 minutes away from Hobby Airport, which is serviced by Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Delta and Jet Blue.

​

Jump on Hwy 45 and you have the option of heading North into downtown Houston to experience the tastes that have made Houston famous, or head South and enjoy the beaches of Galveston.

Where to Stay

Our Teacher Education Center has an ongoing contract with the Sonesta ES Suites Houston - NASA Clear Lake. Located just just a few blocks away, near restaurants, coffee shops, and other conveniences, our guests are able to receive discounted rates. Many of the individuals who attend our program or the workshops, often bring their children or family members. Stay for an extra few days and enjoy visiting such attractions as NASA Space Center, Brazos Bend Wildlife Park, Galveston, the Houston Zoo, or even catch a game at one of the arenas.

Houston has an entire area that designated as Museum district. Here you will find a variety of museums to satisfy any knowledge buff or child at heart. Following is a short list that we ourselves have visited and recommend:
